Thursday March 26 throw Sunday March 29
Weekend in Vienna and Budapest
On Thursday March 26 my friends Emily, Colleen, Craig and I all got on a train from Zürich to the City of Vienna in Austria. We took a night train; it was a Harry Potter style train. The seats all slid down to make one huge bed and we spread out. That was a long train ride and we all sleep but not really well because the train moves and the sits were not the comfortable. I also happened to be smashed in the middle of Colleen and Craig and could not move.
Friday March 27
Then when we all got up the next morning and slid the seats back up. Then we decided to make Breakfast. Our breakfast was made up of STOLEN peanut butter from the cafeteria along with stolen bread. We did not steel the nutella we bought that. We made peanut butter and nutella sandwiches. We also had brought food with us for lunch meat, cheese and crackers.
The hostel that we stayed in was called the Wombat’s. When we got into the city we were there to early to check into our room. However they let us check in and pay and leave our bags in the bag storage room. This was an amazing hostel it was clean, and very nice, and have other a website that tells you everything to do in the City of Vienna.
So we followed this print out of what to see in Vienna.
What we saw was:
Schönbrunn Palace
gardens of Schönbrunn
( oh the things I find in the zoo that I can get my self into)
Zoo (the oldest one worldwide!!)
exotic palm house and
the city
the rebuilt “Roman ruins”
Then we went back to the hostel and checked in and then we went to the city center and got roped into some opera and ballet thing that was not great. But the musicians played really well. I loved the Cello player and the sound that interment makes.
The REAL OPERA HOUSE
the opera that we went too
the big church in Vienna
For dinner we also tried:
After that we went to the bar that was in our hostel and has some drinks.

Budapest is a city that I thought I would never go to. But I did I spent about 8 hours there I got there about 10am and left at about 6pm. The group of people I went with we did not do our research on what there was to see in this city. So we made the bad mistake of buying tickets of a tour bus that drives around the city and tells you all of the history of the city and the things that you are driving buy. We could not see out of the tour bus windows.
but we did see Buda plaice
the water in the city
This city has a lot to offer it was a good day trip and I think in 10 to 15 years will be even better because there will not be so much building going on.
the government building (cool)
Also the fact that the country of Hungry just got out of Communism in the 1990’s is still very visible in all of the buildings, and the faces of the people.
We also saw the museum of Terrier, this was all about Hungry's history. So that was good to go and see it because it give you the history of the country.
I think this is St. Marks Church
This was quite an eye opening city and I Feel that everyone should go to a 3rd world country at least once in their life time because it make you appreciate what you have even more.
Then we took a night train back from there to Switzerland, and got back to the school in time for lunch.
Till next time,
